We're having a baby!!! =D We are so excited about it. It was planned, but we didn't expect it to happen so quickly after we began trying! I'm 7 weeks and 5 days along as of today. The sonogram was done right at the end of my 6th week. The baby is still TINY, and you can't really make out much, but we did get to *see* the heartbeat (it's too early to hear it). The nurse said it was nice and strong. My next appointment is on July 31st. It is NOT a sonogram, but we will get to hear the heartbeat this time using some other external device. I can't wait!
We survived all the church activities we signed ourselves up for, and our anniversary was nice. We ended up eating out at Steak 'N Ale. Terry had NEVER had filet mignon, and so I wanted to expose him to it. The meal was GREAT. We ate so. much. food. We started with a salad and then followed it up with Spinach Artichoke dip on buttered french bread, and then we had our steak, potatoes and broccoli and THEN we had dessert. I think it is the single most money we've ever dropped on one meal at a restaurant for just the two of us. When we left, we were SO stuffed. Looking back, I can't believe I got it all down! These days I CANNOT eat that much. I couldn't even finish one can of soup at lunch today!
I haven't thrown up, but I've been consistently sick to my stomach. I miss being able to enjoy food and actually want it. These days I don't want much of anything- I've lost 8 pounds since I became pregnant! But I'm enjoying it while I can, I'm sure it'll go the other way soon...
Anyway, that's our big news! I'll keep you updated!
