On the mend...

Well, I'm feeling loads better. Tuesday was awful- I felt horrible the entire day. But I've made a quick recovery and I'm SO grateful.

Last night Terry and I went driving around looking at some houses in the area that are for sale. We're only dreaming at this point, but there is one in particular that we really like. It's been on the market for months now because it has a pretty bad foundation problem- one that would have to be repaired (or at least accommodated for in the asking price) before we'd even consider buying. But it's nice, has a big back yard with a gazebo, and is right around the corner from church. But again, just dreaming. For now, anyway.

After we looked at the houses, we went out to dinner. We tried this new place in Arlington Highlands called "Gloria's Restaurant." It was expensive (about $12 a plate), but they had a really unique mixture of Mexican, Salvadoran, Tex-Mex and SalvaTex (I thought that was funny) food. Terry tried some SalvaTex Pollo Asado and LOVED it (he gave me a bite, and... well, not my style, I guess). I got a Tex-Mex combo platter with a cheese and spinach quesadilla, an enchilada, and a chicken tostada with rice and beans. I was curious about the quail, though. It came with a fried plantain, and that didn't sound especially appetizing, so I got something a little safer. But maybe I'll try it next time we go (and we will go again- Terry's in love with the place).

We were walking back to the car after Gloria's when I noticed that the marquee outside Studio Movie Grill was advertising a midnight showing of the new Indiana Jones movie. Terry has been SO looking forward to seeing it, so I suggested we go, if they weren't sold out. We went in and were agog at the price of the tickets- only $5.75 for UTA students (we would have paid $9 bucks each at the AMC at the Parks)! We were able to buy the tickets, and we arrived at the theatre 45 minutes before the show time and it was already packed. We still got really decent seats, and ordered a basket of fries and a fruit cup (to nurse our guilt over all the rich food, I guess) to share. We both enjoyed the movie, but Terry says that it doesn't live up to the original three.

We got home around 2:30 AM, and Terry wanted to watch one of the other Indiana Jones movie(we own them all). I convinced him sleep was the better option, and promised that we would have an "Indiana Jones" night tonight, complete with the Penguins (a type of British cookie) we were finally able to find at World Market last night (we'd been looking forever). We also found a 99% Cocao dark chocolate bar that was GROSS. Poor Terry finally met the dark chocolate that was TOO bitter for him. I'm out at about 60%. He made it all the way up to 86%, but 99% was just too much. Yuck!

Anyway, I'm off to Target to do some shopping. And maybe David's Bridal, too, to look into a sash for Glenna. I bid on one on eBay and it turned out to be too small. Sigh.
