Time flies when you're stressed out and ready to tackle your professors for having the very IDEA of giving a midterm...

I can't believe it has been so long since I've updated! Time has just been slipping by me at warp speed (a little corny Star Trek humor for you-- you're welcome).

Honestly, the pressure is still on. I have 4 midterms next week, two of them two parters (on Wednesday and Friday) AND I have those two parter classes back to back. It's getting harder and harder to drag myself to class. The assignments are stacking up, and we're both trying to budget study time and sanity time at equal intervals. I'm starting to understand why just HAVING a degree helps your job search. This kind of undertaking is not for the weak of heart.

So, suffice it to say, I'm a little stressed out. Terry already had one midterm this week, in Economics. The big one for him will be Chemistry, which I believe is coming up early next week.

All in all, we've been fine. We've taken to hitting up all the free lunch venues on campus, and we're saving loads on our grocery bill. We came up with a new grocery budget this week that will save even more, but we'll basically be eating beans and cornbread the rest of our natural lives!!

We've started a routine that's going really well for us. We're going to the gym on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and then coming home, doing devotions, and going to bed by 10. Well, most nights. Not last night, though. Last night I stayed up until 3AM reading a Jodi Picoult novel that I bought at Border's. It's one of those murder mysteries. I love those things.

On Tuesday, Terry was reading the campus newspaper and saw that they were showing some obscure Russian film in the MAC for free, and he wanted us to go. I had my reservations (it's one of those gory fantasy flicks and had English subtitles), but I LOVED it. Terry thought it was good, too. We plan to go see the sequel when they screen it in March.

You know, it's wild to slowly see my own tastes change. I'm starting to be a fan of mystery, action and sci-fi more then just about anything else, including insipid romantic comedies, one of which we watched last night. Leave "Shop Girl" on the shelf unless you're just dying to see a 20-something Claire Danes get seduced by a grandfatherly Steve Martin. Never again!
