Weekending

Ahh, the weekend. It's been nice. I went on an impromptu run to the grocery store on Friday, only to have Terry call and say "Well while you're there can you pick up..." basically our entire grocery list! All I'd been after was a green pepper and some tortillas for the fajitas I'd planned to make but I came home $60 poorer, my arms loaded with bags. And THEN, we decided we wanted to go to the mall that night and ended up getting Taco Bueno for dinner. *Sigh*

Today has been fine. We went to my sister's in Fort Worth to drop off our Christmas decor for storage. My dad and brother were there too, and my sister was tiling her kitchen back splash and showed us how to cut tile! Well, make that chip off tile. They were using these plier things that took forever. It was quite... interesting. It was such a rousing success that before we knew it we were all standing in a Home Depot check out line, having found some gadget that was *sure* to make the job easier. Hopefully it did. We didn't stay to find out. We ended up coming home to spend a lazy evening in the campus computer lab. I plan to make fajitas tonight... but who knows whether THAT will actually happen? =)

Oh, and BTW... Matt is doing much, much better. The antibiotics are working. Oh, and he's playing the TUBA now. He got into Honors Band!! How awesome is that? I wish I could play the tuba. As it stands my only musical skills are playing chopsticks on the keyboard. I wonder if that would get ME into Honors Band... ;)
