Poor Terry has strep throat... again. I think he got it from one of my old water bottles that I used when I was sick but didn't finish. He'd thought it was his. He was wrong. Poor guy.
This week has been fine. It's our second week of school, and Terry has missed 2 days of classes due to his sickness. He got antibiotics from the health clinic yesterday, and they seem to be helping. He seemed good as new last night, but sleeping always makes a sore throat seem worse and he woke up this morning feeling bad again.
Last night we were heading back from the computer lab and we both had an overwhelming craving for Denny's. We're poor, though, and didn't have the money to spend, so we decided to make a big breakfast ourselves, at 11PM! He made the buckwheat pancakes (hearty!)and scrambled eggs and I was in charge of the hash browns and chopping up the bell peppers for the eggs. Unfortunately the hash browns didn't work out like I'd planned... they would. not. brown. So they were just hash. I finally got fed up and turned the heat up to 9 and MADE them brown. They were quite... um... crispy, but good. Take that Betty Crocker!
The only downside was the mountain of dishes in the sink afterward. By midnight e were up to our elbows in soap suds. But hey, it was worth it. That breakfast rocked!
Oh, and in case you're wondering... "brupper" is a combination of breakfast and supper. Just FYI. ;)
